Wild flowers along the West Coast of South Africa

I am going to post parts of Cape Town over several days because there is too much for one post. And I am working. A lot. And I want to be sure to post plenty of eye stuff (more good eye stuff to come, I promise!)

The second day we were in Cape Town, we went to Table Mountain in the morning. It is the "centerpiece" of the city of Cape Town, and then the city is built around it. It is gorgeous! But, when visiting, you MUST go up to the top as soon as there is a clear day, otherwise you may miss your opportunity--it is often covered in clouds (known as the "tablecloth").

We then headed out of town, along the West Coast. Here are some of our favorite photos:

Wildflowers (9/7/14 - 9/8/14)

This guy gave me quite the scare during my walk in the wildflowers. There are a few poisonous snakes in South Africa/Swaziland...luckily this little guy (actually big guy) was not!

Our drive took us to the town of Darling, South Africa
